Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Indigenous Governing Bodies
  • Indigenous communities

Who is not eligible

  • Multi-unit residential buildings
  • Vacation homes and other non-primary residences
  • Homes previously served by ECAP or ICCP home energy check-up in the past 10 years

Eligible expenses

  • Free energy-saving products
  • Salary support for product installation
  • Training for community members and staff

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Applications for homes that already received ECAP or ICCP home energy check-up assistance within the past 10 years
  • Upgrades to multi-unit residential buildings
  • Upgrades to vacation homes or non-primary residences

How to apply

  • Step 1: Set up access
    • Log in to the Conservation and Energy Management (CEM) Hub.
    • Request help from an Energy Coach if you do not have an account.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Complete and submit the project application online.
    • Include the homes taking part in the project.
  • Step 3: Order and coordinate
    • Order the energy-saving products through the online storefront.
    • Coordinate installer training and project logistics with BC Hydro.
  • Step 4: Complete the project and close it
    • Track the home addresses where work was completed.
    • Open the application again in CEM Hub and submit the final workbook and documents.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed through the CEM Hub.
  • A project lead coordinates planning and implementation with BC Hydro.
  • After completion, final documents must be submitted in the CEM Hub.
