How to apply
- Step 1: Confirm the eligible agricultural product and insurance plan
- Review the applicable annexes for products, deadlines, and coverage details.
- Check the relevant insurance plan for your commodity.
- Step 2: Complete the insurance contract or enrolment process
- Designate the exposure units to be insured.
- Provide the information required under Agricorp procedures.
- Step 3: Submit the application through Agricorp
- Follow the Production Insurance Procedure Manuals and applicable contract terms.
- Respect the enrolment deadline for the crop year.
Processing and Agreement
- Canada must inform Ontario in writing within 30 calendar days after receiving complete documentation whether a proposed modification is eligible for contributions under the Agri-protection Agreement.
- Proposed modifications are eligible for contributions only if Canada and Ontario expressly agree.
- The operational document can be modified only by a written agreement signed by Canada and Ontario.
- Canada may appoint a federal actuary to verify the application of certified actuarial methods.
