This funding provides up to $25,000 to support Ontario’s Black communities in improving youth wellness through sport and recreation. It supports the planning and piloting of new ideas, programs, and/or research initiatives focused on Black youth ages 6–29.

Activities funded

Wellness programs for Black youth that use sport and recreation
Planning and piloting new sport- and recreation-based ideas to improve youth wellness
Programs and/or research addressing long-standing issues in priority areas related to youth wellness
Initiatives that build the capacity of Black organizations and leaders in Ontario

Examples of admissible projects:

Applicant is a not-for-profit or charitable organization, Black collaborative, ad-hoc/informal B3 group/collective, or an individual Black leader.

The initiative demonstrates impact on youth wellness through sport and recreation.
The initiative does not have a for-profit purpose.
