Who is eligible?
- Homeowners who own the property for which funding is requested
- Homeowners whose home is the sole and principal residence
- Homeowners in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville
Who is not eligible
- Applicants or projects that have previously received funding under the Homeownership or Ontario Renovates Programs, or any other repair program funded by the federal or provincial government may be ineligible
Eligible expenses
- Heating systems, chimneys, doors and windows, and foundation repairs
- Roofs, walls, floors and ceilings, vents and louvers
- Electrical systems, excluding installation of solar panels, and plumbing
- Septic systems, well water, and well drilling
- Fire safety and accessibility repairs for seniors and persons with disabilities, including ramps, handrails, chair and bath lifts, height adjustment to countertops, and cues for doorbells and fire alarms

- Complete the application in full, have it signed by all applicant/owner(s), and include all required documentation

Processing and Agreement
- Only complete applications with all required documents submitted will be assessed for eligibility
- You will be notified in writing of initial eligibility or ineligibility
- Proposed home and accessibility repairs are assessed separately
- A Promissory Note Agreement must be signed for all funding approved
- A mortgage will be registered on title of the property for approved funding for projects that exceed $15,000, and the Counties will discharge the mortgage at the end of the 10 year forgiveness period at the Counties’ expense
