Who is eligible?

• Students entering or pursuing post-secondary studies
• Students at Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Fisheries and Marine Institute, or the College of the North Atlantic

• Fisheries and Marine Institute
• College of the North Atlantic

• Preference for widows and lineal descendants of Ocean Ranger victims
• Other full-time students may be considered if no preferred candidates are eligible

• Step 1: Complete the application
  • Fill out the Ocean Ranger Award application form
  • Provide personal and academic information
• Step 2: Gather supporting documents
  • Attach the most recent academic transcript
  • Provide proof of current registration if not enrolled at one of the listed institutions
  • Include an affidavit and lineage documents if applying as a spouse or lineal descendant
• Step 3: Submit the application
  • Return the completed application and documents to the appropriate Scholarships Office
  • Submit to Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Marine Institute, or the College of the North Atlantic
  • Ensure the application is returned by the stated deadline

• Applications are reviewed by the Ocean Ranger Award Selection Committee
• Preference is applied to widows and lineal descendants first
• If no eligible candidates are available, other full-time students may be considered at the committee’s discretion
