Overview
The New Horizons for Seniors Program – Pan-Canadian Stream offers up to $5 million per project to support initiatives that increase the social inclusion of vulnerable seniors through collective impact plans. Eligible activities include developing and delivering programs, services, and action research that address barriers and foster engagement within senior communities.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be an organization in Canada invited by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) after being successful in Step 1 (Call for Concepts).
- The applicant must be one of the following: not-for-profit organization, for-profit organization (with non-commercial, non-profit-generating intent), municipal government, or Indigenous government (including band councils, tribal councils, and self-government entities).
- Post-secondary institutions and public health or social services institutions require agreement from their provincial or territorial government to be eligible.
- The organization must have a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business number or charitable registration number.
- Each eligible organization can submit only one application as a backbone organization.

Who is not eligible
- Organizations not specifically invited by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) following Step 1 (Call for Concepts) of the process.
- Companies or organizations not based in Canada.
- Entities without a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business number or charitable registration number.
- Organizations seeking to submit more than one application as a backbone organization.
- Post-secondary institutions and public health or social services institutions without approval from their provincial or territorial government.

How to apply
- Step 1: Receive Invitation
- Only organizations that were successful in Step 1 (Call for Concepts) will be formally invited by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to apply.
- Step 2: Prepare Application
- Develop a detailed project proposal outlining the collective impact plan to increase social inclusion of vulnerable seniors.
- Ensure the proposal aligns with the objectives and requirements specified by ESDC.
- Gather all required documentation, including proof of eligibility and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business or charitable registration numbers.
- Step 3: Submit Application
- Submit the completed application and all supporting documents to ESDC as per the instructions provided in the invitation.
- Ensure submission by the deadline: October 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
