Overview
Provides $100,000 to $600,000 to strengthen national women’s rights organizations across Canada. Funding supports capacity-building activities such as planning and governance, staff leadership and retention, collaboration and networks, advocacy for systemic change, impact measurement and communication, and adaptation to shifting funding and policy environments.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a national women’s rights organization in Canada.
- The organization’s work must advance gender equality in at least one priority area (Justice, Leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, or Gender-Based Violence).
- The proposal must focus on strengthening lasting organizational capacity rather than short-term program delivery.

How to apply

Confirm alignment
- Review the grant’s purpose (capacity building for national women’s rights organizations)
- Confirm your work aligns with at least one priority area: Justice, Leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, or Gender-Based Violence

Submit eligibility questionnaire
- Complete the online eligibility screening questionnaire
- Submit by February 16 at 11:59 PM EST

Receive eligibility decision
- Wait 2–3 business days for notification
- If eligible, receive an invitation and the full application package

Prepare full application
- Prepare the full application using the provided application package
- Ensure proposed activities focus on lasting organizational capacity (not short-term program delivery)

Submit full application
- Submit the full application by February 19 at 4:00 PM EST
- Note that time available depends on when the screening questionnaire was submitted
Processing and Agreement
- After submitting the eligibility screening questionnaire, organizations are notified within 2–3 business days whether they are invited to submit a full application.
Additional information
- At least 30 organizations are expected to be funded.
- Successful applicants may receive less than the amount requested, based on organizational need, scope, and proposed activities.
- Eligible project period runs from March 2026 to March 2027.
