  • Standard municipal sidewalks and lighting within the Region’s right-of-way
  • Ongoing maintenance, repair, and replacement during operations
  • Temporary or seasonal enhancements, including landscaping

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Streetscape Review Team.
  • Regional staff evaluate proposals using Regional plans, policies, guidelines, design, and safety standards.
  • The Commissioner, Transportation Services gives final approval and releases funds for approved proposals.
  • Applicants must follow any agreements made as a condition of approval.

Additional information

  • Applications are subject to available funding.
  • Approved funding must be used within three years of the award date.
  • Late submissions are only considered in exceptional circumstances.
