Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Graduate students.
  • Post-doctoral fellows.
  • Applicants affiliated with a Canadian university.
  • Projects involving microfabrication at Canadian university user-access facilities.

Eligible expenses

  • Mask fabrication costs.
  • User access and machine usage fees.
  • Reasonable consumables invoiced by the lab.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Accessories such as tweezers and sample holders.
  • Consumables not invoiced by the MNT lab, such as third-party wafers and chemicals.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed monthly.
  • Applicants receive a decision at the end of the month.
  • If approved, the project runs for 4 months from the notification date.
  • Fabrication and reimbursement claims must be submitted within 3 months after completion.
