  • Scientific and technological impact.
  • Ability to support actionable community-level decision-making.

  • Creativity in estimating transmission rates, including in hard-to-reach locations.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review the challenge and applicant guide

    • Confirm the project fit with the program focus.
  • Step 2: Prepare the proposal
    • Complete the proposal form.
    • Build a multidisciplinary team with at least three eligible organizations, including a Canadian university.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Submit the proposal according to the instructions in the applicant guide.

Processing and Agreement

  • Proposals are reviewed and ranked by a Canada evaluation committee.
  • Qualified proposals are placed in a pre-qualified pool for further review.
  • Applicants are notified by email, usually within two months.
  • Selected applicants must sign a contribution agreement before work begins.
