Additional information
- The INNOV-R program is funded by the Fonds d'électrification et de changements climatiques (FECC) and administered by Quebec’s Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation (MEIE).
- The program strongly supports projects that facilitate knowledge sharing, foster intellectual property development, and bring together stakeholders from academia and industry.
- Electricity consumption projects in Quebec are generally less relevant due to low GHG emissions in the local grid; more pertinent initiatives include transportation electrification or the adoption of renewable energy in off-grid regions.
- The Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques continues to support the INNOV-R program following the abolition of the Green Fund.
- Support services are offered, including project preparation assistance, access to equipment, partner identification, additional funding guidance, communities of interest, webinars, and networking opportunities.
- An informational webinar and program guide are available for applicants seeking further details about the program.
- Municipalities, cooperatives, or non-profit organizations may participate in research projects as a second partner.
