• Organizations whose childcare activities are their main offer.
• Early childhood education childcare providers.
• Social economy enterprises.
• Foundations mainly focused on fundraising and redistribution.
• Religious, political, or union organizations.

Eligible expenses

• Staff salaries and social charges for community daycare activities.
• Coordination costs for community daycare activities, within the program limit.
• Material and supply purchases used exclusively for the activities.
• One-time additional costs linked to special participant or staff needs.
• Training costs for staff assigned only to community daycare activities.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• General overhead such as office supplies, technology infrastructure, and communications.
• Real estate costs, including rental, acquisition, expansion, and renovation.
• Base operating salaries and related benefits of the organization.
• Travel, representation, loans, donations, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and related permits.
• Costs already funded by another government program or not directly tied to community daycare activities.

Eligible geographic areas

• All administrative regions of Quebec.

• Temporary and occasional nature of the community daycare activities.
• Consistency between the childcare offer, the organization’s mission, and the program objectives.
• Use of community resources and involvement of families and the local community.
• Quality, relevance, and feasibility of the project, including realistic budget forecasts.
• Expected impact and lasting benefits of the project.

• Step 1: Wait for a call for projects or submit the annual support request for Component 1 within the announced period.

  • Use the prescribed form provided by the Ministry.
• Step 2: Prepare the required information and documents.
  • Provide the organization profile, activity offer, board details, and responsible contact person.
  • Attach the required legal and administrative documents.
• Step 3: Send the application to the Ministry of Families by email.
  • Submit the complete application package to the address indicated by the Ministry.
  • Make sure all required documents are included.
• Step 4: Receive the Ministry’s decision.
  • The Ministry sends written confirmation of acceptance or refusal.

• Applications are reviewed by the Ministère de la Famille and the organization is informed in writing of acceptance or refusal.
• For supported organizations, funding is tied to approved reporting and accountability documents.
• The Ministry may request additional information or documents during the review.
• Funding depends on budget availability and the required public credits.

• Community daycare activities are considered occasional childcare and remain distinct from regulated early childhood education services.
