- Canadian organizations, on an invitational basis

- Programs in the United States and the general operating areas of Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia
Selection criteria
- Consistency with the DPWF mission: “Investing in People to Improve the Quality of Their Lives”
- Ability to provide recipients with life skills or meet a basic societal need
- Focus on economically and socially disadvantaged populations, especially youth or those with special needs
- Program recipients reside within the operating areas of the Washington Companies
- Evidence of local maintenance of effort, partnerships, and leverage of other private or public resources

Processing and Agreement
- After submitting the application form, applicants are notified within 90 days of the status of the application.
- If invited to submit the online application, Canadian organizations are notified within 90 days from submission of their letter of inquiry.
- Grant reports must be filed when grant funds have been expended, or no later than one year after receipt of the grant.
