Dausa Family Prize 2026 schedule and rules updated
The Dausa Family Lithuanian Literature Prize submission window now runs from September 15 to October 15, 2026, and the winners are now scheduled to be announced in the second quarter of 2027. The eligibility rules were also updated: books for the 2026 awards must have been published in Lithuanian between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025, and repeat-award eligibility now distinguishes between the same category and the other prize categories. The submission instructions were clarified to require author and book-cover images in JPG format sent by email.

- A jpg of the author (with photo credit) and a jpg of the book cover sent by e-mail that can be reproduced for use in print and online

How to apply
- Submit entries to the Dausa Prize Submissions Coordinator between September 15th and October 15th, 2026
- Include the completed application form, recommendation, five copies or an electronic version of the book, author consent form, and jpg images of the author and book cover sent by e-mail
Processing and Agreement
- Submitted works are reviewed by an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Lithuanian Canadian Foundation
- The committee recommends the prize recipients for approval by the Lithuanian Canadian Foundation
- The committee may decide not to award a prize in a category if no worthy submissions are found
- Winners are announced at a ceremony in Vilnius, Lithuania

- Publishing houses of winning books also receive €1,000 after submitting a distribution and publicity plan.
