Eligibility
Who is eligible?

- Organizations directly responding to unmarked graves and missing children
Eligible expenses
- Costs related to healing, ceremony, research, memorialization, and bringing children home activities.
- Traditional education program costs such as elder and guide fees, supplies, travel, fuel, wages, tuition, materials, transportation, accommodations, meals, and administration.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Capital costs, including construction, renovation, fixed assets, land, watercraft, or aircraft.
- Debt repayment, including past student loans.
- Legal action or compensation claims.
- Entrepreneurial, partisan, or political activities.
- Activities outside FG Foundation objectives.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are screened for eligibility, completeness, and required documents.
- Complete applications are reviewed and scored by the Selection Committee.
- The Board of Trustees makes the final funding decision.
- Successful applicants complete a service agreement with updated work plan, budget, and banking information.
- Funds are released after the signed service agreement is returned.

- Applications are reviewed during four intake periods each year.
- The program uses a cooperative intermediary relationship with FG Foundation.
- Written support from First Nations leadership is required.
- Meaningful Survivor involvement must be demonstrated.
