Eligibility

Who is eligible?

Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to Kiwanis-led projects.
  • Projects with significant hands-on member participation and financial involvement are favored.
  • Projects addressing basic youth needs receive priority.
  • Applications are reviewed by a committee, which decides funding and amount.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Include a project description, community needs assessment, timeline, partnerships, and expected impact.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Send the application by email to grants@kfcdn.org or by mail to the Kiwanis Foundation of Canada in Brantford, Ontario.
    • Submit the application by May 31.
  • Step 3: Receive the decision
    • Wait for the committee review and funding response.
  • Step 4: Claim the matching funds
    • After spending the club’s share, send proof of expenditures and request the Foundation match.
  • Step 5: Submit the final report
    • Provide a post-project report with impact, results, photos, and financial or physical commitment details.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by a committee.
  • Applicants are notified of the funding decision.
  • Approved clubs submit proof of expenditures to receive the match.
  • A post-project report must be submitted before the end of the following Kiwanis year.

  • Applications must be received by May 31 each year.
  • Only one Community Street Outreach grant per club per year.
