Open Grants deadlines and rules updated
The Grant opportunities page now shows Open Grants as open with an application deadline of Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., replacing the earlier undated status. The application preparation steps also changed: the information-session step was removed, the FAQ was updated to August 2026, and applicants are now directed to review the Open Grants Rubric at the new web PDF. Eligibility and scope language were clarified to emphasize that Open Grants supports programs and services in Hamilton that benefit residents in Hamilton, and organizations without a physical presence in Hamilton must have a written partnership agreement with a Hamilton-based organization. The page also adds or revises funding priorities and exclusions, including support for programming costs rather than capacity-building or operating costs, and excludes requests primarily for operational costs and/or capacity building.
