Overview
The Rapid Housing Sub-Stream provides $963 million over 5 years to build 2,400 new units for those in greatest need. Funding supports the construction of shelters, transitional housing, and supportive housing projects through contributions, low-interest repayable loans, and/or forgivable loans covering up to 100% of eligible project costs.

Eligibility
- Applicant must be from the non-profit housing sector, community housing sector, rental co-operative, or a provincial, territorial, Indigenous or municipal government including their agencies.
- Project must involve construction of shelters, transitional housing or supportive housing.
- Project must address housing needs for those in greatest need.

Processing and Agreement
- Complete applications reviewed for eligibility and program objectives.
