Eligibility

Eligibility for the Acceleration program is open to various individuals and entities who meet certain criteria.

  • Applicants should be involved in deeptech, medtech, or edtech fields.
  • Active entrepreneurs who have started their commercialization phase less than 2 years ago can apply.
  • Engineers in the workforce are eligible to participate.
  • Students from all backgrounds can apply.
  • Researchers who have an idea for a technology project are encouraged to apply.
  • Other individuals with an idea for a technology project are also eligible.

Who is eligible?

The Acceleration program is designed for entrepreneurs and professionals with projects in deeptech, medtech, or edtech seeking to validate and grow their business ideas. Eligible participants come from various backgrounds but must fit the program's focus areas.

  • Active entrepreneurs who have entered the commercialization phase of their project within the last two years.
  • Engineers who are currently in the workforce and have relevant project ideas.
  • Students from any academic background with a focus on technological innovation.
  • Researchers with potential technological projects looking to enter the market.
  • Individuals with innovative technology project ideas aimed at development in deeptech, medtech, or edtech sectors.

Eligible expenses

This grant supports technology-centric projects in deeptech, medtech, and edtech sectors aimed at fostering business growth and market readiness. Activities focus on product development, business modeling, and strategic organizational strengthening for startups.

Selection criteria

The Acceleration program at Centech evaluates and accepts new projects twice a year, in the winter and fall. The selection criteria for the Acceleration program at Centech include:

  • Technology innovation and its potential for disruption
  • Scalability and market potential
  • Quality and commitment of the entrepreneurial team
  • Relevance of the business model
  • Feasibility and clarity of the project
  • Alignment with the deeptech, medtech, or edtech fields

Individual Interview

  • If selected, participate in an individual interview with one of the program managers.
  • Prepare to discuss the project and answer questions during the interview.

Start of Program

  • Upon selection, join the cohort of approximately 30 entrepreneurs.
  • Commence the 12-week Acceleration program as scheduled.
