How to apply
- Complete and submit an appeals application through the grant portal.
- Include a dollar value request within the appeal.
- Describe the extenuating circumstances and why the appeal is required.
- If you applied in the prior year and were not successful, explain what is new or different about your reason for appealing.
Processing and Agreement
- Appeal applications are reviewed by three CEF staff members.
- Applications are assessed for eligibility and whether the circumstances rise to the level of extenuating circumstances.
- Passing appeals may receive a funding recommendation within the total envelope of $50,000.
- Results are presented to the Director of Communications and Engagement.
- Successful applicants receive a funding agreement form and must sign and return it for funding to be processed.
Additional information
- Applicant support includes translation of grant documents, fillable forms, video support, and one-on-one staff meetings.
- Applicants must contact staff if they need support through the application process.
- Requests for translation support must be received seven days before the appeals application intake closes.
- Successful applicants receive a funding agreement form to initiate payment of funds.
