- Federal government internal operations and asset purchases.
Eligible expenses
- Salaries and benefits for employees working on the project.
- Professional, technical, scientific, and contracting services.
- Travel, meals, and accommodation linked to project activities.
- Training, workshops, testing services, and project-related supplies.
- Overhead costs directly related to the project, up to 15% of eligible expenditures.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Costs outside the eligible expenditure period.
- Overhead above the 15% cap.
- In-kind costs for reimbursement.
- Reimbursable federal and provincial taxes.
- Projects or uses involving enhanced oil recovery, non-permanent carbon utilization, or federal government internal operations and asset purchases.

- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received.
- EOIs are reviewed by a Technical Review Committee and may lead to an invitation to the FPP phase.

- Selected applicants undergo financial, technical, legal, and regulatory due diligence.
- Successful applicants are invited to sign a contribution agreement before funding is committed.
