How to apply
- Step 1: Book a pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation
- Contact a service organization registered with NRCan.
- Have an energy advisor assess the home and provide recommendations.
- Step 2: Complete eligible retrofits
- Carry out the recommended energy-efficiency upgrades.
- Keep all paid receipts and invoices.
- Step 3: Book the post-retrofit evaluation
- Schedule the final EnerGuide evaluation after the upgrades are finished.
- Ensure the service organization submits the reports to the portal.
- Step 4: Upload documents and request payment
- Upload receipts and required supporting documents in the Greener Homes portal.
- Submit the grant request once all documents are uploaded.
- Step 5: Confirm and receive the grant
- Review the funding decision sent by email.
- Accept payment in the portal and wait for the cheque by mail.
