Overview
The APCHQ “Programme de formation Fiers et compétents” offers access to industry-recognized upskilling courses that are fully funded (no registration fees) through the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC). The program finances classroom or online training activities directly related to construction trades, including customized in‑company training for groups of at least eight eligible employees.

Activities funded
- Participation of employees in classroom or online upskilling courses recognized by the Construction Industry Employees Training Fund (FFSIC), such as residential construction training from the “ABC of the residential sector” series.
- Training activities aimed at helping workers successfully pass the carpenter-joiner trade exam.
- Customized, job-related training programs developed specifically to meet a construction company’s workforce needs, delivered at the company’s head office or in a training room, for groups of at least eight eligible employees.
- Participation in professional development activities offered through the CCQ’s catalogue of construction industry training (up to 500 different activities), when linked to the worker’s trade.
- Training projects that support the adoption of new materials, technologies or management skills directly related to construction trades.
Eligibility
- The company must be part of the Quebec construction industry and contribute to the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC) through employer contributions.
- The training requested must be directly related to construction trades and the skills required for the company’s workforce.
- For custom in‑company training financed by the FFSIC, the employer must have a minimum of eight eligible employees to participate in the session.
Who is eligible?
- Companies in the construction industry that contribute to the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC)
- Employers with employees holding valid CCQ competency certificates in construction trades
Eligible expenses
- Direct and indirect training costs for eligible workers covered by the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC), including classroom or online courses recognized by the CCQ.
- Development and organization costs for customized training tailored to the company’s workforce, when approved and funded by the FFSIC.
- Accommodation expenses for eligible workers attending approved training activities, when assumed by the FFSIC.
- Transportation expenses for eligible workers directly related to participation in approved training, when assumed by the FFSIC.
- Indemnities and financial incentives paid to eligible workers (e.g., compensation related to training hours or reserve of insurance), as specified by the CCQ’s indemnity table.

- Province of Quebec (construction industry workers under the Commission de la construction du Québec – CCQ).

- Select the desired training course from the available list in the Fiers et compétents program
- Note the group number associated with the chosen course

Register by phone
- Call the Info perfectionnement line at 1 888 902-2222
- Indicate the group number of the selected training when requested

Register via CCQ website
- Open the registration form for the selected training on the APCHQ site
- Click the “M’inscrire sur le site de la CCQ” button
- Complete the required fields on the CCQ site to finalize your registration
Additional information
- Training activities are recognized by the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC).
- Most registrations do not involve registration fees for participants, except in specified exceptional cases.
- Eligible workers automatically receive the financial incentives to which they are entitled when they attend 100% of the scheduled training time.
- Customized corporate training can be organized either at the company’s head office or in a dedicated training room, provided it is directly related to the trades and involves at least eight employees.
