Activities funded

  • Participation of employees in classroom or online upskilling courses recognized by the Construction Industry Employees Training Fund (FFSIC), such as residential construction training from the “ABC of the residential sector” series.
  • Training activities aimed at helping workers successfully pass the carpenter-joiner trade exam.

Eligibility

  • The company must be part of the Quebec construction industry and contribute to the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC) through employer contributions.
  • The training requested must be directly related to construction trades and the skills required for the company’s workforce.
  • For custom in‑company training financed by the FFSIC, the employer must have a minimum of eight eligible employees to participate in the session.

  • Companies in the construction industry that contribute to the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC)
  • Employers with employees holding valid CCQ competency certificates in construction trades

Eligible expenses

  • Direct and indirect training costs for eligible workers covered by the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC), including classroom or online courses recognized by the CCQ.
  • Development and organization costs for customized training tailored to the company’s workforce, when approved and funded by the FFSIC.
  • Accommodation expenses for eligible workers attending approved training activities, when assumed by the FFSIC.
  • Transportation expenses for eligible workers directly related to participation in approved training, when assumed by the FFSIC.
  • Indemnities and financial incentives paid to eligible workers (e.g., compensation related to training hours or reserve of insurance), as specified by the CCQ’s indemnity table.
