Who is eligible?
- Construction industry workers who meet the general admission criteria.
- Employers admissible under the rules for company training.
- Any person, including people not admissible under article 2.1.1, for the AQAET alternance études-travail training.
Who is not eligible
- Organizations created under the Emploi-Québec training mutuals regulation at the initiative of employer or union associations in the construction industry.
- Construction industry union organizations and organizations linked to them.
- Construction companies, their subsidiaries, and any persons linked to them.
- Training providers offering activities with competency objectives equivalent or comparable to those identified and quantified by the CFPIC.
- Private schools with an educational permit, except when covered by articles 1.2.4 ii) c) or 1.2.9, and providers identified in Annex B for requests under paragraph 1.2.9 unless there is a special agreement.
Eligible expenses
- Administrative fees and didactic material costs for registration in study programs listed in the training repertory.
- Development, organization, realization, and translation costs for eligible training activities.
- Accommodation and transportation costs associated with eligible training.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Activities carried out in a production context, except for the clientele in Annex A and certain exceptions approved by the CFPIC.
- Vendor or manufacturer presentations of materials and equipment, training linked to a product purchase contract, or certification required to use a product.
- Training required by a project owner, except certain exceptions approved by the CFPIC.
- Health and safety training, except those included in the Commission’s training offer at the adoption of the rules; exceptionally, the CFPIC may accept a health and safety training that is a prerequisite to carrying out part or all of a trade, specialty, or occupation.
- Task training.
Selection criteria
- Applications are analyzed individually based on the distance between the worker’s home address and the training location.
- The training schedule is considered, including full-time, part-time, weekend, or online delivery.
- Overlapping or consecutive training arrangements are considered.
- Whether the same training is available closer to the worker’s home is also considered, and registering outside the home region when the training is available locally may lead to refusal or registration changes.

Processing and Agreement
- When a person is invited to a course, they receive a convocation letter with all the details.
- The convocation letter confirms whether the person is eligible to receive incentives.
- The incentives are analyzed and determined individually based on the distance to the training location, the training schedule, the overlap or continuity of trainings, and whether the same training is available closer to home.

- Training activities are recognized by the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC).
- Most registrations do not involve registration fees for participants, except in specified exceptional cases.
- Eligible workers automatically receive the financial incentives to which they are entitled when they attend 100% of the scheduled training time.
- Customized corporate training can be organized either at the company’s head office or in a dedicated training room, provided it is directly related to the trades and involves at least eight employees.
