Activities funded

  • Projects that introduce agritechnologies improving at least two aspects of agricultural sustainability, such as profitability, environmental practices, climate change mitigation, work safety or ergonomics, animal health and welfare, or farm biosecurity.
  • Projects by agricultural operations in eligible sectors to adopt priority equipment identified by the program to enhance their performance.
  • Projects led by an agricultural machinery use cooperative (CUMA) to implement agritechnologies or priority equipment for a shared activity branch involving at least three farm operations.

  • The project must be directly related to the applicant’s agricultural activities.
  • The project must aim to adopt an agritechnology that automates at least one phase of agricultural work (data collection and analysis, decision-making, or execution of tasks) and improves at least two aspects of agricultural sustainability (such as profitability, agro-environmental practices, climate change mitigation, work safety/ergonomics, animal health and welfare, or biosecurity).
  • For a CUMA applicant, the project must concern a business line composed of at least three agricultural operations.

Who is eligible?

  • Cooperatives for the use of agricultural machinery (CUMA) located in Québec

How to apply

  • Step 1: Check intake period and deadlines
    • Verify that the project submission period is open (a new intake for all regions starts on January 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and closes on January 31, 2026, or earlier if the budget is exhausted).
    • Ensure your project can be completed no later than February 15, 2027.

    • Fill out the official financial assistance application form for the AgroPerformance Initiative, providing all required information on the applicant and the project.

    • Respect the submission times indicated for the opening and closing of the intake period.
  • Step 6: Communicate with MAPAQ if needed
    • Contact your MAPAQ regional office for information or support in preparing or submitting your application.
    • Use the contact details of the MAPAQ regional offices provided by the program to reach the appropriate regional direction.
