Who is eligible?

  • Agricultural businesses and operators
  • Businesses with agri-food innovation projects

Who is not eligible

  • Businesses outside the priority CIP area 1-4
  • Businesses that have already received this grant for the same category within the last five years, unless the ownership or tenant has changed or the project is for different physical elements

Eligible expenses

  • Value-added and innovative purchases or implementation
  • Software and hardware
  • Infrastructure related to eligible agri-food projects

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Temporary, removable, or consumable project materials or elements
  • New building construction
  • General maintenance repairs

  • Priority Community Improvement Plan (CIP) area 1-4 in Huron-Kinloss

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Township's Downtown Improvement Grant Committee.
  • Applications are assessed against timing, project suitability, available funding, and the applicant's ability to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Incomplete applications are not accepted.
  • If approved, funds are allocated after project completion and proof of eligible expenses.
