Le ministère des Transports et des Corridors économiques de l'Alberta joue un rôle central dans le financement de l'infrastructure de transport provinciale. Programmes de subventions aux municipalités
Le ministère administer plusieurs programmes de financementdestination aux municipalités :
- Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership - Financement pour les installations municipales d'approvisionnement en eau et de traitement des eaux usées
- Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP) - Financement pour les projets de développement et d'entretien de l'infrastructure de transport local
- Water for Life - Financement pour les nouvelles installations régionales d'approvisionnement en eau et de traitement des eaux usées
- Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) - Partenariat avec les municipalités et les établissements métis pour financer les services sociaux préventifs communautaires

Subventions pour la formation des chauffeurs commerciaux
Deux volets de subventions sont disponibles pour les employeurs, les écoles de conduite et les étudiants éligibles :
- Employment Pathway Grant - Financement pour couvrir les coûts de formation lors de l'embauche et de la formation de nouveaux chauffeurs de classe 1
- Industry Advancement Grant - Projets visant à attirer et à retenir plus de chauffeurs commerciaux de classe 1 en Alberta
Budget et investissements
Le budget 2026 prévoit :
- 2,8 milliards de dollars d'investissement en capital pour les routes et ponts
- 2 milliards de dollars pour l'entretien et la renouvellement des routes et ponts
- 180 millions de dollars pour la gestion de l'eau et l'atténuation des inondations
