What else should I know about Town of Renfrew?
The Town of Renfrew is the municipal government for Renfrew, Ontario. It provides local leadership, planning, infrastructure, recreation, and economic development support for residents, businesses, community organizations, and property owners across the town.
As part of its role in local development, the Town administers a Community Improvement Plan that provides financial incentives to support revitalization, redevelopment, and private property improvements within designated areas. The CIP is supported in part by the County of Renfrew’s HYPE Program and is intended to encourage investment that improves the Town’s economic vitality, attractiveness, and overall quality of life. In addition, the Town offers a Grants to Community Partners program that provides funding of up to $5,000 for not-for-profit organizations through categories such as fee waivers, capital projects, operating support, programming and special events, and sponsorship.
Through these mechanisms, the Town of Renfrew acts as an important local public-sector funding provider that helps stimulate downtown and commercial revitalization, strengthen non-profit and community initiatives, and support long-term economic and social resilience in the municipality.
