The United Church of Canada, through its Vision Fund and the United Church of Canada Foundation, provides substantial grant funding to support ministry programs, youth and young adult initiatives, new church plants, and community outreach across the country.
The Vision Fund offers three main grant streams: Seed Grants for Innovative Ministry (up to $5,000 plus matching funds), Continuing Education Bursaries for First Third Ministry Leaders, and Flourishing Ministry Program Grants ($25,000/year for up to two years).
The Foundation manages numerous endowed funds including the New Ministries Formation Fund, Watkins Fund (for poverty and children at risk), Camping Trust, and multiple memorial trusts supporting specific theological education and ministry development initiatives.
Grants are available to United Church congregations, ministries, and partners across Canada. Applications are accepted quarterly (January 15, April 15, July 15, October 15 for Vision Fund) with specific eligibility criteria for each program.
