Role of the Lupina Foundation in the Funding Ecosystem
The Lupina Foundation is a private Canadian charitable foundation that provides grant funding to support research and innovation in health and society. As a registered charity under the Income Tax Act, the Foundation directs its grants to qualified Canadian educational and charitable organizations.
Funding Focus Areas
The Foundation concentrates on three main areas: Health Anxiety (including patient support services and medical education), Social Factors in Health Risk (addressing socioeconomic determinants of health), and Access to Health Services (particularly for underserved populations and women).
Application Process
Applicants submit a one to two page initial letter overviewing their proposal. Following initial screening, qualified proposals are invited to submit a full proposal with complete details.
