What else should I know about The Canadian Paralympic Committee?

The Canadian Paralympic Committee is the national organization for Paralympic sport in Canada and supports the development of inclusive sport pathways through funding opportunities such as the Paralympic Sport Development Fund. Delivered with support from the Paralympic Foundation of Canada, the fund invests in local and regional organizations to remove barriers, address system gaps and grow quality Para sport programming. Grants can support recruitment, coaching, competition, club development, training camps, facility costs, equipment and reduced participation fees. In the funding ecosystem, CPC is important because disability sport requires specialized equipment, trained coaches, accessible facilities and recruitment efforts that ordinary sport budgets may not cover. By directing donor-supported grants into community and pathway development, CPC helps more Canadians with disabilities experience sport, strengthens athlete and coach development, and builds a more inclusive national sport system from grassroots participation to future Paralympic performance.
