The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation is a registered charitable organization created in 1987 to channel community generosity into concrete improvements in local health care. Working in close partnership with Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, the foundation receives donations, endowments, bequests and proceeds from special events, and directs these funds toward the purchase of new and replacement medical equipment and the enhancement of health programs for residents of the Bay St. George and Port au Port region.

The foundation acts as the primary fundraising body for the hospital’s charitable objectives. It runs public appeals, targeted campaigns and legacy-giving initiatives so that individuals, families, businesses and community groups can invest in priority equipment needs and, where appropriate, clinical research. Funds raised are used to ensure that health-care professionals have up‑to‑date tools, supporting both quality of care and the recruitment and retention of staff in the Western Zone.
