The Secrétariat du Québec aux relations canadiennes (SQRC) is a Quebec government ministry responsible for defending and promoting Quebec's intergovernmental and constitutional interests within Canada. It administers two main financial aid programs: the Research Support Program and the Canadian Relations Support Program, which fund research projects and civil society exchanges across Canada. The SQRC is a provincial government agency under the Executive Council (ministère du Conseil exécutif) that administers financial aid programs to support Quebec's interests in Canadian intergovernmental relations. Its mandate includes defending Quebec's constitutional competencies and institutional integrity.
The Secretariat manages two main grant programs:
Projects must demonstrate alignment with Quebec government priorities, involve at least one Quebec partner and one partner from elsewhere in Canada, and span one financial year. Calls for projects are published with specific deadlines.
