Role in the Funding Ecosystem
Range Foundation serves as the corporate philanthropy arm of Navigatr Group, a travel and technology company portfolio. Unlike traditional foundations, Range operates as a catalyst for change by partnering with vetted charitable organizations worldwide. The foundation distinguishes itself through its travel-connected mission, using tourism as a force for good by giving back to communities where travelers explore.
Funding Programs
The foundation administers two primary grant programs: The Global Grant Program invites Navigatr Group employees, clients, and partners to nominate charities for $10,000 one-time grants, focusing on high-impact organizations beyond their existing partnerships. The Kensington Conservation Grant is a $1,000,000 initiative in partnership with The Explorers Club, supporting conservation research and fieldwork in Asia and Latin America.
Partner Relationships
Range Foundation maintains long-term partnerships with established organizations, providing multi-year funding. Partners include Legacy of War Foundation (war-affected communities), Nekton (ocean exploration and protection), Giants of Africa (youth empowerment through basketball), Royal Ontario Museum (cultural access), Mara West Foundation (education and health in rural Kenya), and The Explorers Club (field exploration). The foundation also supports shorter-term Projects with funding up to $100,000 annually.
Impact and Transparency
Annual Impact Reports detail grant amounts, recipient organizations, and project outcomes. The 2025 report showed $6,855,441 USD granted to 20 recipients, with $297,000 raised by stakeholders. Administrative costs are absorbed by Navigatr Group, ensuring donations go directly to partners.
