The Orillia Area Community Development Corporation is a Community Futures organization that supports entrepreneurs, small businesses and local economic development in Orillia and surrounding communities. Its services include business loans, advisory support, planning resources and community development initiatives that help local enterprises start, expand, stabilize or transition. In the funding ecosystem, the CDC fills an important regional gap by offering relationship-based financing and practical support for applicants that may not fit conventional bank lending or large public programs. Its presence helps keep capital decisions close to the community, supports rural and small-market business growth, and gives founders a local route to combine financing with mentoring and economic development expertise.
