Grant and Funding Programs Offered by Natural Gas Innovation Fund (NGIF)

The Natural Gas Innovation Fund (NGIF) is an industry-led initiative that supports clean technology innovation in Canada’s gaseous energy sector. Established by the Canadian Gas Association in 2016, NGIF accelerates the development and adoption of solutions to reduce emissions and enhance sustainability in the natural gas value chain. Through its not-for-profit accelerator and venture capital fund, NGIF provides non-dilutive grants, emissions testing facilities, and equity investments to cleantech startups. These programs target a range of innovations – from methane emission reduction and carbon capture to low-carbon hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and energy efficiency improvements.
