Role of the LMS Foundation in the Funding Ecosystem

As a registered non-profit foundation with provincial and federal charter, the LMS Foundation serves as a vital funding provider for youth education in Quebec and across Canada. Funding Programs Offered

  • Perseverance Award: Recognizes students who have overcome challenges to achieve academic success. Recipients receive a scholarship, a book, and school supplies. Eligibility: ages 7-17, Canadian resident for 3+ years, enrolled in a recognized school.
  • STEM Award: Encourages and highlights talent in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Recipients receive a scholarship, trophy, book, and school supplies. Eligibility: ages 9-19, enrolled in STEM programs.
  • IRC Camp: Engineering-Robotics-Coding summer camp for youth ages 9-15, held at the Lasallian Center.
  • Tutoring Program: Supports children from single-parent families with educational assistance.

Application Process

Applications are accepted annually from January 21 to May 7. An independent jury committee reviews applications and submits recommendations to the Board of Directors. Nominations can be submitted by teachers, school professionals, tutors, friends, or family members.
