In the Form of a Heart: Supporting Children with Heart Conditions

Our Mission: Helping Children and Families in Need

Every year, hundreds of families in Quebec face the unimaginable challenge of caring for a child with a heart condition. Our mission is to provide genuine support to these children, easing their journey and helping their families through difficult times. By offering resources, guidance, and financial assistance, we hope to make each day a little brighter for those affected.

Our Vision: A Future with More Services and Support

We strive to maximize the services available to children living with congenital heart defects and their families. Our vision extends beyond pediatric care, providing support as children transition into adulthood. By remaining present at every stage, our foundation ensures no one walks this path alone.

Striking Numbers: The Impact of Heart Disease in Children

Did you know that one out of every 100 children is born with a congenital heart defect? This is the most common birth defect and, sadly, the leading cause of newborn mortality. Cardiac anomalies in children occur 80 times more often than cancer and 26 times more frequently than cystic fibrosis. Thanks to generous donors, we are able to help an average of one family each day.

Types of Support We Offer

When a child needs treatment far from home, every kilometer adds to the family’s burden. Our foundation provides financial help for travel, along with other essential support like grocery and gas cards, daycare, parking assistance, equipment loans, meal vouchers, and overnight stays. We also offer guidance in accessing public programs to ensure families receive all available aid.

Mental Health and Community Support

Navigating a heart condition is emotionally overwhelming. That’s why we organize support groups for parents and teens, one-on-one counseling sessions, and welcoming services for new families. Our private groups and dedicated social workers ensure that families have a strong support network.

Get Informed and Connected

We offer reliable resources, including educational materials on congenital heart diseases, navigation guides, school forms, and detailed documentation. Our goal is to empower families with information and practical tools for every step of their journey.

Making a Difference: How Your Involvement Matters

Every donation directly impacts families—whether it’s providing a crucial overnight stay, meal vouchers, or transportation support. Community-driven events and campaigns are not just fundraisers; they create solidarity and hope for children with heart conditions.

Real Stories: The Heart of Our Community

Behind every statistic is a story—a family’s resilience, a child’s courage, a community’s warmth. From newborn surgeries to teenage milestones, these journeys are made possible thanks to the kindness of supporters. Join us and help shape a brighter, healthier future for children living with heart disease.

How You Can Help: Give from the Heart

Your support matters, whether through donations, volunteering, or sharing our cause. Participate in events, spread awareness, or simply offer a listening ear to someone in need. Together, we can lift the weight from families and bring hope, in the form of a heart.
