Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion (HCCI) is a charitable organization in Hamilton, Ontario, working to mobilize all Hamiltonians to create an inclusive and welcoming city. Founded in 2006, HCCI advances a vision of a united community that respects diversity, practices equity, and speaks out against discrimination.
HCCI delivers community programs that build civic inclusion and engagement, including the Black Youth Mentorship Program (BYMP) for Black youth ages 13–25 and the Hamilton Civic Leadership Program for youth ages 17–25 (with priority for equity-deserving communities). It also provides Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression (ARAO) Training and consultations for organizations, nonprofits, and institutions seeking deeper, sustained equity and justice work.
To strengthen community safety and support, HCCI partners with the Hamilton Anti-Racism Resource Centre on We Support Hamilton’s Community Reporting Hate & Resources Platform, a community-led hate reporting tool. HCCI also offers Organizational Mentorship—practical administrative, governance, and other supports—helping newer community groups establish and grow. Services and programs are offered in English; the contact page lists French-language referral options.
