The foundation supports organizations and associations dedicated to rare and orphan diseases, as well as any other causes dear to the founding members. About Simon Simon is affected by a rare disease: Sotos syndrome. This condition affects about 1 in every 14,000 births. Known as cerebral gigantism, Sotos syndrome was identified in 1964 by Dr. Juan Sotos, an American endocrinologist.
