Since its opening, the Québecor Aquatic Center at Centre Sablon has been an integral part of Montreal life. Over more than seventy years, it has welcomed more than a million users, including generations of youth, seniors, and families. Today, the foundation is dedicated to renovating this vital center, creating a safe, inclusive, and accessible space where thousands of young people can learn to swim, develop healthy habits, and build self-confidence.
Major Fundraising Campaign and Impact
In 2020, the Sablon Foundation set an ambitious goal to raise $15 million to support 10,000 children over ten years. Thanks to the community's generosity, this goal has been surpassed, reflecting the trust and commitment of donors. In 2024–2025 alone, over 10,000 children from underprivileged backgrounds have already received financial support, helping them access life-changing opportunities.
