The Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation is dedicated to improving living conditions through quality education. Key Projects: La Dictée P.G.L.

One of the foundation's flagship initiatives is La Dictée P.G.L., a major educational event that has engaged over 7 million young participants in 31 years. This inclusive project brings together students from Canada and French-speaking countries, encouraging them to celebrate the richness of the French language while raising funds for education projects around the world.

International Presence and Domains of Action

Active in 11 countries across Africa and Haiti—including Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo—the foundation partners with local organizations to support lifelong learning and educational advancement. Its work extends beyond the classroom, addressing areas such as basic education, vocational training, socio-economic empowerment, health and food security, global citizenship education, sustainable development, gender equality, and human rights.
