Grant and Funding Programs Offered by Fondation Lorenzo Di-Fraja

Founded in 2008 following the diagnosis of the youngest son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), this family foundation based in Cantley, Quebec, operates as a charitable organization that raises and distributes funds to support children affected by DMD in the Outaouais region. The foundation serves as a critical link between fundraising activities and direct support to affected families.

The foundation provides multiple forms of assistance: technical support including equipment purchases for autonomy and home adaptation; moral support for families; and funding for special projects such as stays at specialized summer camps. Additionally, the foundation actively contributes to DMD research efforts as the disease remains incurable to date.

Annual events include golf tournaments (such as the Tournament at La Cage aux Sports in Gatineau), yoga events (Yogathon), the Dystromarche walk in Outaouais, and various community initiatives. These events generate funds that are redistributed to families and research initiatives.
