Our Mission
The mission of Fondation Le Renfort is to improve the quality of life for children and adults living with an intellectual disability (ID) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Foundation provides direct financial support to low-income families and individuals, combats social isolation, and promotes their inclusion, active participation, and recognition within the community, notably through workshops held at the Maison des Arts Le Renfort.
Maison des Arts Le Renfort
Maison des Arts Le Renfort is an art-focused activity center located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Its mission is to support the development and fulfillment of adults with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. The center offers services from Monday to Friday to anyone aged 18 and over with a diagnosis of ID or ASD, providing a welcoming environment for creativity and social engagement.
Support and Inclusion Initiatives
Fondation Le Renfort's initiatives go beyond financial support. The Foundation aims to break the social isolation often experienced by individuals with ID or ASD and their families, fostering their integration and active role in society. By organizing inclusive art workshops and community activities, the Foundation helps participants gain confidence and feel valued.

Fondation Le Renfort regularly hosts events and activities such as the annual Christmas party, wine and cheese tastings, electronic and live auctions, and the Smile Cookie campaign with Tim Hortons. These events raise funds to support the Foundation’s mission and offer opportunities for the community to come together and support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
