Our Mission
The mission of Fondation À Chacun Son Défi is to encourage and support young people facing personal, family, academic, or social challenges in accomplishing a personal challenge that leads them towards autonomy. For 25 years, the foundation has mobilized efforts to help the youth gain confidence and resilience.
The Spirit of the Challenge
A challenge is something unforgettable—a contest against oneself. Overcoming a challenge requires courage, perseverance, motivation, and confidence. While the journey might be exhausting, it’s all about pushing boundaries, not giving up, and believing in personal strength. Whether it’s climbing Mont-Kaaïkop or taking part in demanding activities like the Raid, each challenge is a new opportunity for growth.
Supported Organizations and Initiatives
Fondation À Chacun Son Défi supports various organizations and projects that align with its mission. By offering financial and motivational assistance, the foundation helps young people take part in meaningful experiences, such as leadership camps and educational activities, fostering their path to independence.
Testimonials: Voices of Courage
Myriam’s experience shows the impact of the foundation: “During summer 2022, I completed my PAM. It was a wonderful experience! I learned more about being a monitor, and I fell in love with Colonie Sainte-Jeanne d’Arc. The staff are always willing to help.” Myriam was hired right after and became part of the team.
Martine also shares: “PAM is an amazing experience for those who want to become monitors. It’s a long stay where you form great friendships and have a lot of fun. It was intense and took me out of my comfort zone, but that’s how I learned so much more about myself. I recommend it to anyone who wants to push their limits and create unforgettable memories.” Now Martine is a monitor herself.
Achievements Inside and Outside School
Challenges aren’t only outdoors or during camps. At school, students face everyday challenges like mastering verbs or tackling multiplication tables. Even small victories matter, and what’s important is to keep trying and to have fun along the way.
