Femina Foundation: Supporting Women Victims of Domestic Violence

Our Mission

The Femina Foundation has been dedicated since 2016 to supporting first stage shelters welcoming women victims of domestic violence across Quebec. As an officially recognized charitable organization, the Foundation provides both financial and material resources to help shelters offer a safe, humane, and compassionate environment for women in need.

Key Areas of Action

Understanding the needs: We seek to understand the real situations and challenges faced by women and shelters on the ground.
Mobilizing the community: The generosity of our donors and partners plays a crucial role in creating change and giving hope to women escaping violent situations.
Providing concrete support: We offer customized, practical, and sustainable assistance to shelters so no woman is forced to remain in a violent environment due to lack of resources.

Support for Shelters

We focus on increasing both the financial and material resources of shelters for women victims of domestic violence. Shelters serve women facing not just domestic violence, but also family abuse, trafficking, honor-based violence, sexual assault, exploitation, mental health challenges, addiction, and homelessness. Femina Foundation supports over 100 shelters across Quebec, offering resilience pearls and distributing thousands of gifts to women and children.

$240,500 raised to aid women and children

Our Campaigns

At Each Her Pearl: Businesses purchase boxes of pearls to support the initiative. These pearls are gifted to women in shelters as recognition of their courage.
Christmas for THEM: Donations are collected and distributed as gifts to women and children in shelters, providing warmth and comfort during the holidays.
I Bike and Walk for THEM: Cyclists and walkers raise funds by completing set distances, rallying support for women escaping violence.

By becoming an annual partner, organizations gain year-long visibility and actively support the stability and growth of shelters across Quebec. Campaign-specific partnerships are also available, allowing businesses to back the campaign that aligns with their values and demonstrate their social commitment.
