Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) serves as the national voice for the electrical industry in Canada, representing manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Through its scholarship program, EFC invests in the next generation of professionals for the electrical and automation sectors, addressing skills development and workforce sustainability in the industry.
Scholarship Program Overview
EFC awards over $160,000 annually in scholarships through multiple program streams:
- Women in Electrical: Supporting female students pursuing careers in the electrical and automation industry
- Indigenous Students: Encouraging Indigenous students to explore opportunities in the electrical sector
- People of Colour: Promoting diversity by supporting students who identify as people of colour
- Regional Scholarships: Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB), Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada (NB, NS, NL, PEI)
- General Scholarships: Technical and business-focused awards for all eligible students
The 2026/2027 application period runs from February 25, 2026 to June 5, 2026. Students may apply for up to three scholarships per cycle.
General Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in a post-secondary degree or diploma program in Fall 2026/Winter 2027. Required documentation includes proof of citizenship, official transcripts, and proof of enrollment. Preference is given to applicants with connections to EFC member companies pursuing fields such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Industrial Distribution, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, and Information Technology.
