With Canadian charitable registration number 860811595 RR0001, the Foundation serves as a dedicated funding source for non-profit arts organizations in BC, offering annual grants to support well-defined projects rather than core operations.
Funding Categories
The Foundation supports three main funding streams:
- Professional and semi-professional creative arts in BC
- Arts education that passes knowledge on to children, youth and emerging artists in BC
- Grassroots programs which assist women in BC and abroad
Grant Structure
Most grants are in the $5,000 range, though the Foundation also considers multi-year funding requests for up to 3 years. Grants are restricted to organizations recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as charitable organizations with valid registration numbers. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
