CLICK, Contributing to Lives of Inner City Kids, is a Vancouver nonprofit foundation that raises and distributes funds to small grassroots programs serving children and youth living in poverty. Its grantmaking focuses on practical barriers to success: access, skill development, and safety. Since 2004, CLICK has directed more than two million dollars to more than 600 programs, giving donors a way to support daily, local interventions such as food, transportation, supplies, instruction, after-school care, arts, sport, literacy, health, and leadership activities. In the funding ecosystem, CLICK plays an important intermediary role between donors and frontline programs that may be too small or local for larger institutional grants. Its twice-yearly application cycles, eligibility criteria, and reporting requirements help keep funding accountable while allowing grassroots organizations and schools to secure direct program expense support for Vancouver children and youth.
