Chawla Charity Foundation is an independent, non-profit charitable organization headquartered in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The foundation mobilizes donations from individuals, families, corporations and partners, and redistributes these resources to improve the lives of vulnerable children, youth and communities across Thailand. Its work focuses strongly on education as a pathway out of poverty, while also addressing basic needs such as food, clothing, equipment and community infrastructure.

The foundation implements and finances several key program areas. Through its Lunch Program, it funds and organizes meals and related activities for students in under-resourced schools, orphanages and centers for children with disabilities, often combining food support with enriching outings and learning opportunities. The Community Service stream channels funds and in-kind donations such as computers, sports equipment, blankets and other supplies to schools, homes for girls, community centers and even animal welfare efforts, aiming to raise overall quality of life.

A distinctive component of the foundation’s portfolio is the Better Tomorrow Program, which provides a structured financial grant to individuals facing hardship. Applicants who are diligent, hardworking and trustworthy, yet struggling in their daily lives, can apply by submitting personal information and supporting documents. Approved beneficiaries receive a grant of THB 1,000 per month, transferred directly to their bank account for a period of one year, with the foundation reserving the right to withdraw the grant if false information is provided.

This grant program is designed as both material and moral support, encouraging recipients to continue contributing positively to society. It reflects the foundation’s belief that improving individual well-being is essential for building social justice and sustainable peace.

Across its programs, Chawla Charity Foundation primarily supports children and youth in poor or rural areas, students in schools lacking resources, residents of orphanages and welfare homes, and individuals and families experiencing poverty. Its activities range from hosting special lunches and learning trips, to donating computers and internet access for schools, to providing basic necessities like bedding and clothing in remote provinces.

By combining direct project funding, in-kind support, and targeted personal grants, the foundation seeks to ensure that Thai youth can complete at least a foundational education and enjoy better life prospects. Partnerships with businesses and community organizations further extend the reach of its programs and help build a more equitable society.
