Canadian Race Relations Foundation
About Us
The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) is dedicated to raising public awareness about the causes and manifestations of racism in Canada. The foundation works to strengthen social cohesion across the country by supporting, assisting, and connecting community groups and organizations. This is accomplished through grants, services, and a network of partners in academic research, the private sector, and community organizations.
Our Latest News and Initiatives
The CRRF regularly participates in key national discussions and releases official statements on important issues. Recent initiatives include a joint statement on reconciliation with the Yellowknife Women's Society and the RCMP, as well as contributions to discussions on antisemitism at the Senate committee level and official submissions on legislative projects. The foundation is committed to confronting hate and racism in Canada through advocacy, public statements, and educational resources.
Podcast: The Healthcare Divide
One of CRRF's newest projects is the podcast "The Healthcare Divide," which examines the reality of universal healthcare in Canada. The podcast challenges the perception of healthcare equity, exposing uncomfortable truths about racism within the system and highlighting efforts to create fairer access and treatment for all Canadians.
Our Impact
CRRF's efforts have made a tangible difference across the country. The foundation has awarded $11 million in community funding, engaged over 600 organizations nationwide, and supported more than 250 initiatives aimed at combating racism. These achievements underscore the foundation’s pivotal role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout Canada.
